I wasn't sure the écru cotton would be too plain, but the scalloped vine embroidery running up the back seam is what sold me. Wore it to work and got three compliments before lunch.
I was worried the ecru cotton would feel stiff, but it's soft and breathes well on warm days. The cross-stitch garland along each forearm is done by hand, and you can tell — it's the detail everyone notices first.
The cross-stitch vine running up the back is the kind of detail you only notice in person, and the ecru cotton is soft without being flimsy. I tucked it into high-waisted jeans and it held its shape all day.
