The cross-stitch vine on the forearms is what sold me, and in person the embroidery is neat and even, not crooked like I feared. The black cotton is light enough for summer but doesn't feel flimsy. It's my new default work blouse.
I wore this to a dinner and got asked twice where the embroidery was from — the vine pattern wrapping the forearms is really what makes it. The hidden placket keeps it clean enough for work, which I didn't expect from something this decorative.
The embroidery around the forearms is even more striking in person, delicate but crisp against the black cotton. I was worried about the fit through the shoulders, but the pleats fall nicely and the floral vine trailing up the back is a beautiful surprise. This is going to be my go-to piece for dinn
