I clipped the floral one onto a messy bun for a brunch and it held all afternoon without slipping. The blue check pair is cute on a jacket lapel too, way more versatile than I expected from two barrettes.
The cotton bow is soft and doesn't pull at my hair at all, which I was a bit worried about with clips like these. Wore the cream floral one to a picnic and it stayed put through the whole afternoon.
